With LiDAR sensor, iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max will better support the AR experience.
Tom’s Guide page, quoted by leaker Komiya as saying that the iPhone 12 will have a major upgrade to the main camera system. On his personal Twitter page, Komiya has posted pictures that are said to be the final design of the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max.
Accordingly, this camera cluster will retain the same square design as on the iPhone 11. However, inside there are 6 different features including the main camera, super wide-angle camera, telephoto camera, microphone receiver. sound, flash and especially the appearance of LiDAR sensor.
Komiya also revealed that all three lenses on the iPhone 12 generation will have a larger sensor size. This allows the camera to take better photos, especially in low light.
The most interesting thing on this camera system is the LiDAR sensor, which was first introduced on the iPad Pro. LiDAR is an abbreviation for “Light Detection and Ranging”. Accordingly, this sensor will use a laser beam to record information about depth and distance. This new technology promises to enhance the AR experience on the iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple is expected to launch four iPhones, including two versions usually with 5.4 inch and 6.1 inch screen, and two Pro versions with 6.1 inch and 6.7 inch sizes respectively. Besides more rear cameras, the two Pro versions will have a screen with a high refresh rate of 120 Hz and 5G technology.
